Let Your Hair Down

Since this summer was so chilly, I didn't give Jasper his annual buzz cut, so his coat has gotten really long.
After today's grooming session, it was like finding a small fluffy dog laying on the floor. Look at all that hair!

She Wore Electric Boots

Maybe it's all the David Bowie Bill listens to, or that we just discovered Project Runway. All I know is that she's never given a hoot about what she wears up until now.

I think that stage is over.

Annie's friend Ilana loaned her a sparkly silver belt a while back and she's said a few times that she'd like to own a belt.
So we went in in search of a belt.
Just a belt.

And Annie walked out a whole new girl.

More Happy Campers

Here are a few more shots from our last camping trip.

I love the color of the water, the lush greenery, and of course, these children.

Mostly we swam and hiked, and we soaked up the fleeting California warmth, made a trip to the beach, painted rocks, whiddled sticks and kept busy with all the tasks that camping entails. I always head out with watercolors, paper, colored pencils as well as my tent and camp stove. As exhausting as the prep, camping, and return home work is, I admit I'm tempted to go out and camp one more time before the season ends.
