There is nothing I like better than to be in the woods. Especially when it's damp. And especially with people I love. I think it's the breathing, looking, hearing, and feeling which is so raw and unadorned that brings everything back to center for me.
Alongside Grandma and Grandpa we foraged, took a few new trails and climbed high looking for the view. We found it under a tall stand of eucalyptus and it was wonderful. It was the damp shoes and pant legs that finally drove us home where we got back in our cozy hibernating clothes and had dinner.

It does look restorative. I can feel the peace just looking at the photos. What and where are the falls?
Hey great minds think alike. We recently took a family hike in the woods. It was a ton of fun. Blessing in the new year to you and yours.
I enjoy a walk in the woods as well..as does P. We need to get back in the habit.
Hey Anonymous,
The waterfall is at the top of the beautiful, and very long, staircase at Joaquin Miller State Park. It's worth the climb.
lol,so nice
Sounds fun!!!
I love walking outdoors too.
It's especially nice to come back to indoors where it is warm after being outdoors where it is damp and cold.
Happy 2009 to you too!!!
