I love a road trip. I've always hoped that Annie would be my companion as we explored the highways and byways. What is a byway anyway? Well, anyway...Slight car sickness, terror of bridges, overpasses, tunnels and an overall unease with being on the road make it less that pleasurable for Annie. And of course, for me. And yet, Annie was willing to take this trip! She said it was because she wanted to care for me and help us enjoy our life. Ahhh! I'll take it!
We made 5 stops in 4 hours of travel yesterday, and after about half way through the trip, she finally seemed comfortable. The mist and the rain made the California scenery so fresh and beautiful, making it so easy to stop, again (!) and enjoy.

Awesome!! We hit the road for a bit yesterday as well, nothing that
exciting...tried to find a "deal",
but found a fun time anyway.
I also love a road trip. We are planning to drive from Mississippi to Wisconsin this summer. I hope it all goes well. I do miss California. I hope I get the chance to show it to my family some day! Meanwhile I love your pictues.
That top photo is amazing. Wonderful, wonderful photo. I keep looking at it and wonder about the people in the house and then there is the little girl running down the road. Good photos!
What incredible photos! Very, very rich and soulful. I love the one of Annie running down the road. Mist and rain is such a soft metaphor for beautiful images. What a treat to be able to see these.
What a sweet girl, and brave. I feel so bad for her. I have those fears, and that's one of the reasons why we left the Bay Area.
I love the photos and her dress.
Pt. Reyes?
Really lovely pics - there was obviously some real atmosphere there - and what a bonus treat is the bejewelled spiderweb!
I love your blog, so good to be in touch. Tell Pat hi for me.
Nancy
There is a small prize for you when you have time back on my blog.;-)
I always love stopping on roadtrips and seeing what is outside.
I'm glad Annie got settled in after awhile. Nice photos!!!
Nice photos. My daughter and I took a road trip today. I was so glad to get out of the city and see open space and animals. The hills are already turning yellow. The last of our spring green is near. It's always nice to come back home again.
