Wow! It rained all day yesterday and it felt wonderful and Wintery. And then today was sparkling and bright so Annie and I took lunch and warm drinks to the beach. Ahhh! It was so bright and pretty, for about an hour, then it turned bitter cold so we had to roll up in our beach blanket and snuggle. I was hoping to get a beach picture that could be used for our holiday card, but nothing is really screaming out at me. These four are the best. Do you vote for any of them?
Yesterday the Home Schooler Craft Fair went really well! Annie almost sold out of her watercolor cards and I sold stuff too (see the little seller below.) We'll definitely do it again next year. I was pleased that the soup I made for the soup sale was one of the first to sell out! Yeah! I am feeling much gratitude for the home school mom's who work hard at organizing the many wonderful events here in the Bay Area. I'm glad to be a part of it all!

Yes! So glad Annie and you did so well. Those cards would have sold out here, too. I was disappointed in our turnout, our members have dropped a little more each year (various reasons I can't get into just now) and there were far fewer tables than last year. No choir this year, either! We've decided to do our part next year and whip up some extra special goodies for our own table, and get the boys together for an act to liven up the show! Thank goodness we have a year to plan... That soup sale idea sound fabulous, how does it work? Maybe something we could also try here? GORGEOUS photos of that loveliest girl.
Oooops, ignore my tags there! Now that Blogger has changed it won't let me comment with a Typepad identity on any Blogger blogs. What a dumb move on Blogger's part! Anyway, that's me up there :)
I was born on April 1st in Berkeley, California. I'm enjoying a life full of satisfaction and challenge alongside my dear friend and partner, Bill, and our almost twelve year-old daughter, Annie. We have a great house and garden that we share with two dogs, nine canaries, and three fire bellied toads. We are choosing a path of living that holds everyone's needs as precious and equal. We're loving an unschooling approach to education for Annie and ourselves. We're trying to live a life with the least amount of negative impact to the enviornment. One way we're doing that is we're really trying to be mindful about what we buy, how we travel, and how we care for ourselves. I will post my ideas, challenges, and celebrations for doing so on this blog. I would love to hear any of yours too!

The first phot is absolutely outstanding. Very impressive photography. It make me want to go out and play on the beach and chase the waves.
I like the third one a lot but I think the first one is my favorite.
They all are beautiful, but the I like the one with the little red clogs in the water.
