Two Hour Dress

I cut and sewed this versatile and comfortable dress today. I copied the pattern from a dress I got last summer that I've worn to threads. Start to finish -hems and all- in two hours. To top it all off, the fabric, which is a light weight version of cotton thermal, was $1 a yard. I bought 5 or 6 yards which is good, because Annie wants one just like it. The only thing I don't enjoy is how it reminds me a bit of leopard print.

Nice Dress!
If the "kind of looks like a leopard print" bothers you, try it in another fabric. I can't believe you did that in only 2 hours. You could probably do a second one even quicker now. Actually I didn't immediately see leopard print when I saw it. Now that you mention it I can see why you would think that. Again, my immediate impression was "Whoa, cool dress!" Plus, it looks comfortable.

I can't sew that fast. I am so jealous.

Yes, PPS! I will make it in other fabrics. It is such an everyday dress that I will need a few. Are you guys baking down there today? It is broiling up here!
